Royal Melbourne is home to one of the best country club tennis programs in the Lake County and Chicagoland area. We pride ourselves on creating a fun atmosphere for our members and guests, and we strive to provide the highest level of customer service and instruction around. Our racquet facility offers four beautiful Har-Tru clay courts, two pickleball courts, four platform tennis courts, social house, a viewing deck, and a racquet pro shop. We also offer same day racquet stringing, repair, and customization for our members and guests.
The tennis department is run by Mike Lardino, an experienced Elite Level USPTA professional who has been teaching racquet sports for more than 20 years, twelve of which have been at Royal Melbourne. He is also PPTA certified in Platform (Paddle Tennis), and an active squash player, too. We also have an excellent staff of assistant professionals who are committed to meeting your needs. On-court activities include our junior tennis academies and teams, men's drills and nights, social events, and our very active ladies' program. Our ladies teams play in the Fox Valley Tennis League during the summer. Of course, we also offer private and group instruction for players of all ages and ability levels.
