Golf Course Overview
Our 18-hole championship course – carved into the surrounding wetlands, ponds, prairies and trees – combines the beauty of sport with the beauty of nature. Members not only get to experience the challenge of the game the way it was meant to be played, but they get to do so in a lushly landscaped world inhabited by deer, swans, hawks and other local wildlife native to our Long Grove golf course. The Royal Melbourne golf course offers an experience that’s few and far between, making the sport enjoyable for all.
Private Club Course
Influenced by Alister Mackenzie’s original design of Royal Melbourne Golf Club in Australia, the course also reflects Greg Norman’s philosophy: a private club course should offer its members a challenging, yet fair round of golf. Our play policy and four sets of tees provide a fair game for every level of golfer, from the daily aficionado to the inexperienced beginner.
For those looking to improve their game, one-on-one instruction with our professional staff is available, including lessons for juniors. And for those looking to test their skill, frequent tournaments provide ample opportunity to do so.
Other amenities include: a fully stocked golf shop, a choice of golf carts or caddies, a full practice facility, a snack bar at the turn, and lavishly appointed locker rooms for members to refresh and relax after playing.
